Windsor Seawolves

Swim Club recommences  Friday 11th October for the year

The Windsor Seawolves Swimming Club provides a safe, fun and challenging environment in which every child can improve their swimming abilities.  The Seawolves organise a program of events directed to all levels of ability so that all can participate and enjoy the sport of swimming, together with their friends and family.

Club nights are held on a Friday night, beginning at 6:00pm and the last event is usually finished by 8:00pm.

Who can join?

Membership is open to all children from pre-prep to high school age. You don’t have to attend Windsor State School to join. You can join the Seawolves at the Club sign-on day, or at any time during the season.

Registration for the 19/20 season is now open. Season fee is $90/family - however an Early Bird discount of $10 applies for registrations up until the 20th September 2019.  Registrations must be made for all swimmers at once to receive this discount.

How do Seawolves club nights work?

The club offers an organised program of events each week in the following order:

  • Tadpoles event (15m)
  • Kickboard event (30m)
  • Individual medley (120m)
  • Freestyle (30m & 60m)
  • Breaststroke (30m & 60m)
  • Backstroke (30m & 60m)
  • Butterfly (30m & 60m)

Each swimmer is timed in each of their nominated stroke over 30m or 60m to set their initial ‘best time’.  Each club night thereafter they try to better their times with points being awarded each week according to how they swim against their own best time.  Medals are awarded at the end of the season to the children in each age group with the highest points.

Tadpoles event

Children who cannot yet swim 30m or are not confident to do so may enter the Tadpoles event.  This is a 15m freestyle event and may be assisted by a parent or older club member.

The club relies entirely on the generosity of volunteers for the running of club nights, carnivals and other events. All member families will be rostered to perform volunteer duties throughout the season including canteen, BBQ, marshalling and timekeeping.

Seawolves Committee positions must be filled each season to allow the club to function. Please do not hesitate to contact the club president on club nights if you wish to become involved in this way.

Nominating ensures that you will be allocated a lane to swim in, that your times will be recorded and points accrued.  Automatic emails requesting nominations via an online system are sent to registered members each week.
